Victor Filip was born in Bucharest. He studied Photography at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. He also has studies in Audiovisual Communication (Theatrical and Cinematographic Art University “I.L. Caragiale” from Bucharest) and Psychology (Titu Maiorescu University from Bucharest).
In 2001, he created the radio station of the “George Coșbuc” high school in Bucharest, where he also studied.
Victor is the first collector of unique and rare Romanian music in Romania. In 2006 he began the construction of his first archive of Romanian music and at the same time, started to study the history of Romanian music. He researched, listened to, and digitized every musical genre, starting with rock, electronic music, techno, classical, and ending with manele. For 12 years he has uploaded over 5 thousand audio materials and scanned 25 thousand images for discorgs.com.
