The main objective of the music workshops is to identify and professionally train and support 60 musically talented young people in Craiova’s Detention Center during the 24 months of the project. Following the methodology created by our team of trainers, the music workshops have an informal setting approach and include sessions for testing and improving their skills by playing different instruments, sessions to organise a repertoire consisting of the material of the digital music library, composition, and improvisation sessions, but also recording sessions of the music composed in the workshops. In this sense, we intend to equip the music workshop with all the instruments for interpreting and recording necessary for the smooth running of the project. The project is designed to explain to participants all the steps they need to go through in a music project, offering them both non-formal technical training and know-how from within the music industry. Through the artistic and cultural activities developed within these workshops, the digital library made available to them, but also the contemporary art activities in which the participants will be directly involved, young people will freely explore, in a framework free of prejudices, their own musical cultural identity and will develop specific music aptitudes which will allow them to work in this music industry after their release from the detention centre.
