Activities

Sumnakay Sound Library includes the digitalization, archiving, and online dissemination of a private collection of contemporary Roma cassettes and tapes produced in the period 1980-2000 in Romania by Roma musicians.

The main objective of the music workshops is to identify and professionally train and support 60 musically talented young people in Craiova’s Detention Center during the 24 months of the project.

Under the umbrella of the Shamanelism project, we organize a series of contemporary art activities – online and offline. The activities will include the use of materials produced during the music workshops. All the produced music will be published and archived in the Sumnakay contemporary music library.
